RF CH1 9:1 For all Israel were registered, and the books can be consulted amongst the records of the Kings of Israel.1
Judah, however, was transported to Babel for its transgressions.
RF CH1 9:2 Pedigree of Judean Nobles.
But the former settlers who possessed those Cities of Israel were the Priests, the Levites, and their attendants.
RF CH1 9:3 But in Jerusalem some of the Beni Judah settled and some of the Beni Benjamin, and some of the Tribe of Ephraim and Manasseh.
RF CH1 9:4 Authi-ben-Amihud-ben-Amri-ben-Imri-ben-Benjamin-ben-Perez-ben-Judah.
RF CH1 9:5 And of the Shilanites, Ashiah, the firstborn, and his sons.
RF CH1 9:6 And from the Beni Zerakh, Javal, and his companions, six hundred and ninety.
RF CH1 9:7 And from the Beni Benjamin Salna-ben-Meshulam,-ben-Hodaviah-ben-Asuah;
RF CH1 9:8 and Ibniah-ben-Jerokham, and Alah-ben-Azi-ben-Makri; and Meshulam-ben-Shefatiahben-Ranal-ben-lbniah;
RF CH1 9:9 and of their genealogical relatives, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these men were Chiefs of Ancestral Houses, from their fathers.
RF CH1 9:10 And from the Priests Jedaiah, Jhoiadah, and Jakin,
RF CH1 9:11 and Azariah-ben-Hilkiah-ben-Shalum-ben-Zadok-ben-Merioth-ben-Ahitub—near the House of GOD.
RF CH1 9:12 And Adiah-ben-Jerokham-ben-Shafhur-ben-Malkiah; and Shami-ben-Adial-ben-Jakhzariah-ben-Shalum-ben-Meshilmath-ben-Amer;
RF CH1 9:13 and of their companions, Chiefs of Ancestral Houses one thousand seven hundred and sixty men able to conduct the services of the House of GOD.
RF CH1 9:14 And from the Levites,—Shemiah-ben-Khashub-ben-Azrikam-ben-Khashabiah, of the Beni Merari;
RF CH1 9:15 and Bakbakar, Kherish, and Galal, and Mathaniah-ben-Mika-ben-Zikri, ben-Asaf;
RF CH1 9:16 and Obadiah-ben-Shemiah, ben-Galal-ben-Jaduthem;—and Berakiah, ben-Asa, ben-Alkanah, who settled in the villages of the Netofathi;
RF CH1 9:17 with the Doorkeepers, Shalum, Akub, and Talmon, and Akhiman, and their companions.
RF CH1 9:18 Shalum was their Chief; and they were settled at the east of the King's Gate. They were the Guards for the camps of the Levites.
RF CH1 9:19 And Shalum-ben-Kora-ben-Abisaf-ben-Korakh and his companions of his Ancestral House of the Koreites, were to superintend the execution of the Service. They guarded the Thresholds of the Hall, for their ancestors had been over the Camp of the LORD as Guards of the entry.
RF CH1 9:20 And Phinehas-ben-Eliezer was Prince over them, before the LORD.
RF CH1 9:21 Zekariah-ben-Meshelemiah, was Door-opener at the Hall of Assembly.
RF CH1 9:22 All of them were chosen as Gate-keepers to the number of two hundred and twelve in their family villages.They were appointed by David and Samuel to attend to their duties;
RF CH1 9:23 and they and their descendants; are attendants at the Door of the House of the LORD, as they were at the House of the Tent, as Guards;
RF CH1 9:24 they were at the Gates on the four sides;1—the East, the West, the North and the South.
RF CH1 9:25 And their relatives came from their villages for periods of seven days, in their turns along with them.
RF CH1 9:26 But the Levites who were the Four Chiefs, of the Gates officially superintended the Lodgings, and the Treasury of the House of GOD,
RF CH1 9:27 and lodged all who came up for duty; and they were at the Opening Services from morning to morning.

RF CH1 9:28 They also had to attend to the vessels; for they brought them in by number, and returned back by number.
RF CH1 9:29 And others of them were Officers over the furniture; and over the Sacred Vessels; and over the flour; and wine, and oil, and incense, and spices.
RF CH1 9:30 But some from the descendants of the Priests prepared the confection of spices.
RF CH1 9:31 And Mathethiah, of the Levites, who was the firstborn to Korakh was appointed over the bakers.
RF CH1 9:32 But others from the descendants of Kahth, with their relatives superintended to the Shew-bread, to arrange it Sabbath by Sabbath.
RF CH1 9:33 And these are the Ancestral Chiefs of the Levite Singers, exempt from duty in the sanctuaries,—for they were at work day and night.
RF CH1 9:34 They are the Ancestral Chiefs, Chiefs according to their pedigrees.—who resided in Jerusalem.
RF CH1 9:35 And in Gibaon resided the Beni Gibaon, Janal, and the name of his wife was Makah,
RF CH1 9:36 and his firstborn son was Abdon, and Tzur, and Ner, and Nadab,—
RF CH1 9:37 and Gedor, and Akhio, and Zekeriah, and Mikloth.
RF CH1 9:38 And Mikloth begot Shimam, and they settled in Jerusalem near their relatives.
RF CH1 9:39 And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Shaul; and Shaul begot Jhonathan; and Milkishua; and Abinadab; and Ashbal.
RF CH1 9:40 And the sons of Jhonathan were Merib-Bal, and Meribal begot Mikah.
RF CH1 9:41 And the sons of Mikah were Pithen, and Melek, and Thakhra,
RF CH1 9:42 and Akhaz, who begot Jarab; and Jarab begot Alemath, and Azmavath, and Zimri, and Zimri begot Motza;
RF CH1 9:43 and Motza begot Binaa, Rifiah, his son, Alasah his son, Atzal his son,
RF CH1 9:44 and Atzal had six sons, and these are their names;—Azrikaim, his firstborn, and Ishmaal, and Shariah, and Obadiah, and Khami,—These are the sons of Atzal.
