RF JOB 36:1 Elihu consequently continued and said;
RF JOB 36:2 Wait for me, and I will reveal
The reasons I still have for God.
RF JOB 36:3 I will gather my teachings from far
And prove that my Maker is right;
RF JOB 36:4 For I certainly utter no lies;
Pure truth is presented to you.
RF JOB 36:5 God is mighty and does not neglect,
He is mighty in power of mind;
RF JOB 36:6 He does not encourage the bad,
But gives the afflicted their right.
RF JOB 36:7 From judges He takes not His eyes
Or from monarchs who sit on the throne!
Whom He sanctions, are mighty for aye;
RF JOB 36:8 But if they are fettered in chains
And bound in the cords of distress,
RF JOB 36:9 He is showing their conduct to them
And the faults that their pride has produced;
RF JOB 36:10 And uncovers their hearing to learn,
And tells them to turn from their sins.
RF JOB 36:11 If they listen to Him, and obey,
They complete with enjoyment their days
And end up their years in delight,
RF JOB 36:12 If they hear not, they pass like a dart,
And expire in their want of good sense!
RF JOB 36:13 But the wicked in heart heap up wrath;
When He binds them, it is not to save;
RF JOB 36:14 Their life goes to death in their youth,
For their life is among the depraved.
RF JOB 36:15 But He rescues the wronged from their woes,
And opens their ears by distress;
RF JOB 36:16 And from these present griefs He will lead
To a plain, unobstructed advance;
And rich food will be spread on your board.
RF JOB 36:17 But your thoughts are filled up with your wrongs,
Tho' reflection and thought should support.
RF JOB 36:18 Your rage should not lead to contempt,
When a great ransom could not redeem,
RF JOB 36:19 Nor your wealth would be able to save,
Nor all the exertions of strength;
RF JOB 36:20 Ah! do not desire that Night,
And the path to the Nations laid low!
RF JOB 36:21 Ah! do not desire that Night,
For that you preferred to distress.
RF JOB 36:22 See, how lofty God is in His might,
For who can enlighten like Him?
RF JOB 36:23 And who for Him drew out his plans;
Who can say, "What you do is absurd?"
RF JOB 36:24 Think? You should exult in His works
Which men are accustomed to praise!
RF JOB 36:25 For all mankind see Him in them
And mortals regard from afar!
RF JOB 36:26 We know not how noble God is,
How unmeasured His number of years,
RF JOB 36:27 Who accumulates mist from the seas
And distributes the vapour in rain,
RF JOB 36:28 Which the storm clouds all scatter around,
Distilling abundance on man.
RF JOB 36:29 Ah! who understands the massed clouds
That carry His thunders within?
RF JOB 36:30 Look! He scatters about them His flash,
But their roots are concealed in the sea!
RF JOB 36:31 Yet He governs the Nations by them;
He gives by them plenty of food;
RF JOB 36:32 He places the flash on their bows
And directs it go to the mark,
RF JOB 36:33 And instructs it to show forth for Him
The wealth of His wrath on the vile!
