RF PSA 139:1 To his Bandmaster.
A Psalm by David.—A Plea to the Lord.
LORD, You have tried me and known,
RF PSA 139:2 You know if I sit down or rise.
My Shepherd guard from far,
RF PSA 139:3 Prepares my field and couch,
My journeys, and my halts;
RF PSA 139:4 Before my tongue can speak,
O LORD! YOU know it all!
RF PSA 139:5 You formed my Past, and Now,
And placed on me Your hand!
RF PSA 139:6 PSALM 139A.
Your knowledge is wondrous to me,
I never can reach to its height.
RF PSA 139:7 I walk by Your Spirit,
Am led by Your mouth.
RF PSA 139:8 If I rise to the skies,—You are there.
You are there if I dive to the Grave!
RF PSA 139:9 Should I lift up Dawn's Veil,—
And plunge under the Sea,—
RF PSA 139:10 Your hand there could seize,
Your right-hand could hold!
RF PSA 139:11 If I say, "The darkness will hide,
Night shines not to betray."
RF PSA 139:12 Then Dark, is not Darkness to You,
And Night is as bright as the Day!
So Darkness and Light are the same!
RF PSA 139:13 For You have created my members,
You arranged me in my Mother's Womb.
RF PSA 139:14 I praise You because You enlighten,
My mind knows the Wonders You do.
RF PSA 139:15 My thoughts are not hidden from You,
Who made, and in secret Who wove,
When preparing for earth;
RF PSA 139:16 Your eyes saw me, as I was evolving,
The whole was inscribed on Your Plan,
And You formed my days when not one of them were
RF PSA 139:17 How precious Your thoughts are to me!
How powerful, GOD, their results!
RF PSA 139:18 If I counted the sands they are more,—
When I waken, I stand before You!
RF PSA 139:19 Oh! cut off the Bad, GOD of Truth,
And from me drive off men of Blood
RF PSA 139:20 Who meditate only revolt,
And contrive for Your Cities distress!
RF PSA 139:21 Those who hate You, LORD, do I not hate?
And loathe those who rise against You?
RF PSA 139:22 Those who hate You, I perfectly hate,—
As enemies they are to me!
RF PSA 139:23 GOD, try me and find out my heart,
Examine, and find out my ways,
RF PSA 139:24 And see if I stray in my path,—
And for ever lead me on Your road!
