RF PSA 64:1 To his Bandmaster.
A Psalm of David.
STANZA 1.
Listen, GOD, to the sound of my plaint,
Guard my life from the rage of my foes;
RF PSA 64:2 Hide me from the plots of the bad,
From the mob, who would do me a wrong;.
RF PSA 64:3 Whose teeth are as sharp as a sword,
Whose tongue shoots, like darts, bitter words,
RF PSA 64:4 Which they cast from their dens on the good!
RF PSA 64:5 They encourage themselves in vile things,
And lay down their well-contrived traps,
And say to themselves. "Who can see?"
RF PSA 64:6 They seek mischief with diligent search,
And dive in man's breast and his heart.
RF PSA 64:7 STANZA 2.
But GOD will shoot arrows at them,
And suddenly they will be struck,
RF PSA 64:8 And their tongue will recoil on themselves,
And all looking upon them will fly!
RF PSA 64:9 All who see them will tell of God's act,—
And how he has made them to fall.
RF PSA 64:10 Then the good will rejoice in the LORD, And the upright in heart give Him thanks.
