RF REV 21:1 The New Sky and New Earth.
Afterwards I saw a new sky and a new earth: because the former sky and the former earth had passed away; and the sea existed no longer.
RF REV 21:2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of the heaven from God, arrayed like a bride adorned for her husband.
RF REV 21:3 And I heard a loud voice, issuing from the throne, saying, "Now the tabernacle of God is with mankind; and He will encamp among them; and those people shall be His; and God Himself will be with them.
RF REV 21:4 And He shall wipe every tear from their eyes; and death shall exist no more; nor anguish, nor crying, nor grief, shall exist any longer. The former conditions have passed away."
RF REV 21:5 And the Occupant of the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He commanded me, "Write: because these words are trustworthy and true."
RF REV 21:6 Then He said to me, "It has come! I, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give to the thirsty from the fountain of the water of life.
RF REV 21:7 The conqueror shall inherit these; and I will be a God to him, and he shall be a son to Me.
RF REV 21:8 But as for the cowardly, and faithless, and depraved, and murderers, and fornicators, and poisoners, and idolaters, and all liars—their lot is in the lake burning with Divine fire: which is the second death."
RF REV 21:9 The Holy City Described.
And one of the seven angels, who had the seven vials, which were filled with the seven last plagues, came; and he spoke with me, saying: "Come here! I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb."
RF REV 21:10 And he conveyed me in spirit upon a great and high mountain; and showed me Jerusalem; the holy city, coming down out of the heaven from God,
RF REV 21:11 possessing the Divine glory. Her luster resembled a very precious jewel—that of a crystalline Jasper.
RF REV 21:12 It had a great and high wall; it had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names inscribed upon them, which are those of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
RF REV 21:13 Upon the east were three gates; and upon the north three gates; and upon the south three gates; and upon the west three gates.
RF REV 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation courses, and upon them twelve names, those of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
RF REV 21:15 And the speaker with me had a golden measuring rod, so that he might measure the city, and its gates and its wall.
RF REV 21:16 And the city was designed as a square, its length being the same as its breadth. And he measured the city with the rod, twelve thousand stadion;1 the length, the breadth, and the width of it being exactly equal.
RF REV 21:17 He also measured its wall, one hundred and forty-four cubits2 the measure of a man who is an angel.
RF REV 21:18 And the buttresses of its walls, jasper; and the city pure gold, resembling pure glass.
RF REV 21:19 The foundations of the wall of the city were decorated with every precious stone. The first course jasper; the second, sapphire the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;
RF REV 21:20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.
RF REV 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each separate gate a single pearl. And the broad-way of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
RF REV 21:22 And I saw no Sanctuary in it; for the Lord, the God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its Sanctuary.
RF REV 21:23 And the city has no need of the sun, nor yet of the moon to shine upon it; for the glory of God illuminates it, and the Lamb is its lamp.
RF REV 21:24 And the nations shall walk by its light; and the kings of the earth shall bring their splendour to it.
RF REV 21:25 And its gates shall not be closed daily, for night is not there.
RF REV 21:26 And they shall present the glory and the honour of the nations in it.
RF REV 21:27 But there shall never enter into it any profane, or who practices depravity and falsehood; none but those who are recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
