RF CH2 36:1 (610 B.C.) The People Elect as King Jhoahaz.
Then the People of the country took Jhoahaz-ben-Joshiah, and crowned him in his father's stead, at Jerusalem.
RF CH2 36:2 Jhoahaz was twenty-three years of age at his coronation, and reigned three months in Jerusalem,
RF CH2 36:3 for the King of the Mitzeraim expelled him from Jerusalem, and fined the country a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of Gold.
RF CH2 36:4 The King of the Mitzeraim also made Aliakam King over Judea and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jhoiakim. Then Neko took Jhoahaz his brother and sent him to the Mitzeraim.
RF CH2 36:5 (610 B.C.) Jhoiakim dethroned by Nebukadnezzar.
Jhoiakim was twenty-five years old at his coronation, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem, but did evil in the eyes of the EVER-LIVING GOD,
RF CH2 36:6 and Nebukadnezzar, King of Babel advanced against him, and bound him in chains, and carried him to Babel.
RF CH2 36:7 Nebukadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon. (KJV)
RF CH2 36:8 The rest of the doings of Jhoiakim, and the depravities he committed, and were habitual with him, are written in the Records of the Kings of Israel and Judah. But Jhoiakim, his son reigned after.
RF CH2 36:9 (607 B.C.) The Viceroyalty of Jhoiakim under Nebukadnezzar.
Jhoiakim was eighteen years old at his coronation, and reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem, and did wrong in the sight of the EVER-LIVING;
RF CH2 36:10 But, at the turn of the year King Nebukadnezzar sent and had him brought to Babel, with the precious vessels of the House of the LORD, and made Zekeriah his brother King over Judea and Jerusalem.
RF CH2 36:11 (599 B.C.) Zakeriah's Viceroyalty under Babylon.
Zakeriah was twenty-one years of age at his coronation, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
RF CH2 36:12 But he did wrong in the eyes of the EVER-LIVING GOD. He did not submit and repent at the words of Jeremiah, the Preacher, from the mouth of the EVER-LIVING;
RF CH2 36:13 and also he revolted from Nebukadnezzar to whom he had sworn obedience by GOD, and stiffened his neck, and encouraged his heart, against turning to the EVER-LIVING GOD of Israel.
RF CH2 36:14 All the Nobles, also, the Priests and the People, heaped crime upon crime, with all the depravities of the Heathen, and defiled the House of the LORD, which had been Consecrated in Jerusalem.
RF CH2 36:15 Although the EVER-LIVING GOD of their fathers sent to them, by the hand of His Messengers, diligently sending, because He was grieved for His People, and for their sons.
RF CH2 36:16 But they jeered at the Messengers of GOD and despised His Messages, and were disgusted at His Preachers, until the indignation of the LORD arose against His People without remedy,
RF CH2 36:17 and he brought up against them the King of the Kasdim, who slaughtered their choice young men in the Consecrated House, and had no pity over boy or girl, old man, or grey-haired—He gave all to his power!
RF CH2 36:18 (588 B.C.) And all the vessels of the House of GOD, great or small, and the Treasures of the House of the EVER-LIVING, and the Treasures of the King, and his Nobles, he carried the whole to Babel.
RF CH2 36:19 Then he burnt the House of GOD, and threw down the walls of Jerusalem, and burnt all the Palaces with fire, and destroyed all their costly furniture,
RF CH2 36:20 and transported to Babel the remnants from the sword, and they became slaves to him, and his children, until the Empire of the King of Persia,
RF CH2 36:21 and accomplished the Message from the EVER-LIVING by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths, for all the time it was waste, it rested, for a complete seventy years.
RF CH2 36:22 (536 B.C.) Cyrus proclaims Freedom to the Jewish Captives of Babylon.
But in the first year of Kuresh, King of Persia, was completed the promise of the EVER-LIVING by the mouth of Jeremiah, and the EVER-LIVING aroused the spirit of Kuresh, King of Persia, and he passed a proclamation to all his Empire, and also recorded it in writing, to command;—
RF CH2 36:23 "Thus says Kuresh King of Persia to all the Kingdoms of the earth; the EVER-LIVING GOD of the Heavens gave to me the whole Empire of the earth. He has also appointed me to build Him a Temple in Jerusalem, which is in Judea. Whoever of His People is with you,—the LORD GOD is with him, let him go up."
