RF PSA 66:1 To his Bandmaster.
A Choral Song.
STANZA 1.
Hurrah for our GOD, all the Earth
RF PSA 66:2 Sing Psalms to His Glorious NAME;
Give to Him honour and praise;—
RF PSA 66:3 say, "GOD, how grand are Your works,
With what power You crush all Your foes!
RF PSA 66:4 And all the Earth bows to You down,
And sings, chanting Psalms to Your Name!
RF PSA 66:5 STANZA 2.
Come, look on the products of GOD,
Displayed from on High to mankind,
RF PSA 66:6 When He turned the Sea into dry land,
That on foot they crossed over the stream,
And then we all gave thanks to Him.—
RF PSA 66:7 For ever He rules from on high,
His eyes on the Heathen are fixed;
And no rebel succeeds against Him!
RF PSA 66:8 STANZA 3.
Let the People give thanks to our GOD,
Let the sound of His praises be heard,
RF PSA 66:9 Who fixed our soul in our lives,'
And lets not our footsteps be moved!
RF PSA 66:10 For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. (KJV)
RF PSA 66:11 Psalms 66 A.
A Lament of the Babylonian Captives.
STANZA 1.
You made us be led to the net,
You put a great load on our loins,
RF PSA 66:12 You caused men to ride o'er our heads,
So we passed through the water, and fire,
But will afterwards bring us to rest,
RF PSA 66:13 When with offering I'll come to Your House,—
To You I will pay all my vows,
RF PSA 66:14 Which I with my lips have declared,
And my mouth promised when in distress.
RF PSA 66:15 I will offer rich offerings to You,
I will sacrifice rams, with perfumes.
RF PSA 66:16 STANZA 2.
Come, hear me relate what I saw,
And what GOD has done for my soul.
RF PSA 66:17 I cried out to Him with my mouth,
And high praise was under my tongue.
RF PSA 66:18 If He had seen Sin in my heart,
The ALMIGHTY would not have heard me;—
RF PSA 66:19 However, GOD heard my request,
And has granted the voice of my prayer.
RF PSA 66:20 ENVOY.
Thank GOD, who has not turned away;
I prayed, and His mercy revived.

2 NOTE.—Psalms 66 A. The sense and purport shows this to be an entirely separate Psalms to that of the first ten verses, which are a song of triumph, not of despair.—F.F.
