RF PSA 75:1 To his Bandmaster.
A Psalm against Despair.—A song by Asaph.
STANZA 1.
Let us sing, to You, GOD, let us sing,
Your Works tell Your power is near;
RF PSA 75:2 For when I the Public address, I wish to proclaim what is right.
RF PSA 75:3 The Land shakes, and its people despair,
But I would its pillars support.
RF PSA 75:4 STANZA 2.
I will say to the fools,—"Be not foolish,"
To the wicked,—exalt not your horn;
RF PSA 75:5 Lift not your horn at the Highest,
Speak not with a neck lifted up,
RF PSA 75:6 For neither from East or from West,
Nor yet from the hills of the Wold,
RF PSA 75:7 But GOD fixes, "Who rises,—who falls!"
RF PSA 75:8 For the cup in the hand of the LORD,
Is full of a sweet foaming wine,
When he pours from it down to the dregs,
All the bad of the land, drink and suck.
RF PSA 75:9 But I will for ever reflect,
To Jacob's GOD I will sing Psalms;
RF PSA 75:10 And cut off the horns of the Bad,—
Exalting the horns of the Good.
