RF COL 1:1 Introduction.
PAUL, by the will of God an apostle of Christ Jesus, and the brother Timothy,
RF COL 1:2 to the holy and faithful brethren in Christ at Colossae. Blessing and peace to you from our Father, God.
RF COL 1:3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
RF COL 1:4 having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and the love which you have to all the saints:
RF COL 1:5 because of the hope laid up in the heavens, of which you previously heard in the plea for the truth of the gospel,
RF COL 1:6 which is presented to you, and also to the whole world, and is fruitful and growing; as also it is among you, from the day you heard and truly recognized the Divine gift;
RF COL 1:7 which you learnt from our dear fellow-servant Epaphras, who is our faithful minister of Christ,
RF COL 1:8 and who has told us of your spiritual love.
RF COL 1:9 The Believers Standing in Christ.
And consequently we, from the day we heard of it, have never ceased praying for you, and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will, with all spiritual wisdom and understanding;
RF COL 1:10 and conducting yourselves worthy of the Lord in all nobility, successful in every good work, and improved by the knowledge of God;
RF COL 1:11 being strong with all strength, by His rectifying power, to endure every hardship and trial,
RF COL 1:12 gladly giving thanks to the Father, Who brought us into the partnership of the inheritance of the holy in the light;
RF COL 1:13 Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and transferred us unto the Kingdom of His beloved Son
RF COL 1:14 in whom we have the redemption, the release from sins
RF COL 1:15 who is the likeness of the unseen God, the Producer of all creation;
RF COL 1:16 because by him was created everything in the heavens and upon the earth—the seen and the unseen; whether thrones, sovereignties, governments, or authorities—the whole were created through Him and for Him;
RF COL 1:17 and He Himself preceded all, and the whole was established by Him.
RF COL 1:18 And He is the Head of the body, the church; He is the Beginning, the Bringer-forth from the dead, so that He may Himself be the first over all.
RF COL 1:19 Because He decreed that all perfection should dwell in Him;
RF COL 1:20 and through Him He will collect all again to Himself—having made peace by the blood of His cross, through Him—whether upon the earth or in the heavens.
RF COL 1:21 You, however, were once alienated and estranged, through your mind being addicted to the practice of vice; but now He has reconciled again,
RF COL 1:22 through the death of His corporeal body, to place you in the presence of Himself holy, blameless, and irreproachable:
RF COL 1:23 if you remain fixed and firm to the faith, and change not from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which has been preached to all creation under the heavens, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
RF COL 1:24 The Divine Call of the Apostle Affirmed.
Now I rejoice for your sakes in sufferings, and I would fill up in my body the extreme of Christ's affliction, for the sake of His body—the church;
RF COL 1:25 of which I became a minister by appointment given to me for you from God, to accomplish the Divine intention,
RF COL 1:26 the secret hidden from the ages, and from the nations, but now made manifest to His saints.
RF COL 1:27 By whom God willed to make known among the heathen what is the wealth of the splendour of this secret; that is Christ in you—the glorious Hope
RF COL 1:28 which we proclaim; warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present each one perfect in Christ;
RF COL 1:29 for which I also vigorously strive, according to His energy working powerfully in me.
